Sustainable food round table

The food industry, in all its aspects, has been under increasing pressure to up its sustainability efforts. The huge footprint of meat production, worldwide transportation of fresh produce, single-use packaging and the enormous waste were reason enough for that global call. But after 15 months of pandemic, it has also become very clear that food security in a heavily globalised sector like food, is also much more fragile than we might have thought.
