Alex left the Royal Navy as a 2-star Admiral having spent 10 years of a 30-year career on operations across the Globe, including leading the seaborne security of the London 2012 sailing Olympics. His final role was as the senior national and NATO seagoing maritime commander.
Whilst ashore Alex served as military advisor to the Under Secretary of State; established the Navy’s innovation hub and tech accelerator; held safety and delivery responsibility for all surface ships.
He is a fellow in Technology and Public Policy at the Tony Blair Institute and speaks regularly in national media on the opportunities AI and digitisation present UK defence and security.
Alex works at the London Office of the UK-US defence AI software company Rebellion Defence.
