At Tony’s Chocolonely our mission is to make chocolate free of child-labour and slavery; not just our chocolate but all chocolate worldwide. We are an impact company that makes chocolate and we exist to drive awareness of the unequal nature of the cocoa industry and inspire change; leading the way with delicious tasting chocolate and a different business model.
We’ve been around for 15 years in our home country, the Netherlands, where we’re now the number 1 brand with a 20% market share. We launched in the UK in January 2019 and are now taking the UK market by storm.
Ben started his career in food and drink over 20 years ago at IRI and then working for Unilever for in a mixture of sales and category management roles. He joined innocent drinks, in the early days, and was there from 2007-2015 holding a number of senior commercial roles and eventually becoming UK commercial director after the sale to Coca-Cola in 2013. He left in 2015 to join Propercorn, most recently as Chief Operating Officer helping take the business into national distribution. Ben has been working for Tony’s since September 2018 as employee number 1 and is responsible for the UK and Ireland.
