David was trained at Columbia University in NYC and at University Hospital Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen (PhD) and undertakes psychopharmacological PET and MRI brain imaging research. Since 2009 been studying the neurobiology of addictions and depression at Imperial. As clinical director in the Centre for Psychedelic Research – and most recently also as head of a novel NHS-based research clinic named CIPPRes Clinic -, he investigates mechanisms and therapeutic potential of MDMA, ketamine and classic psychedelics [trials in depression, ocd, anorexia nervosa]
