Janet Hull OBE

After over 20 years in advertising and PR strategy and client service at Abbott Mead Vickers, Young & Rubicam and Burson-Marsteller, Janet joined the IPA in 2008.
As Director of Marketing Strategy, Janet leads the IPA Three Pillar Strategy (Effectiveness / Commercial / Talent) for the advertising industry’s professional institute, driving thought leadership and best through the annual IPA Effectiveness Week. In 2012 Janet created, and now chairs, the IPA Creative Pioneers apprenticeship programme which has placed more than 750 school leavers in job in the industry.
Janet also represents the advertising sector on the Creative Industries Council (CIC), chairs the UK Advertising Export Group, oversees www.thecreativeindustries.co.uk and organises CIC Createch. She was awarded an OBE by Prince Charles for services to the Creative Industries in the 2014 New Year Honours list.
