Martha Bloom is a Research Fellow at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), at the University of Sussex. Her research surrounds policies for cultural and creative labour markets, with a specific focus on skills and innovation. Martha has particular interest in the integration of Arts and STEM knowledges within the creative industries, including STEAM skills, interdisciplinary working practices and SME collaborations. She is involved in a number of projects for the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (PEC), including work on the micro-geography of creative industries and R&D practices in CreaTech firms. She has substantive experience and interest in public and policy engagement around these themes.
