CEO of Generation UK & Ireland, an organisation that prepares, places, and supports people into life-changing careers that would otherwise be inaccessible to them. As CEO, and the first employee on the ground in the UK&I, Michael has helped build the organisation from the bottom up. After 3 years of operations in the UK&I, there is now a team of 30 in place, close alignment & support from the UK government, several key CSR funders behind the mission, and a network of >100 employers recruiting from our programmes. Prior to Generation Michael helped build 2 award-winning venture-capital-backed start-ups – Reevoo & Quill – serving as COO and Company Director. Originally from Aberdeen, Scotland, Michael completed his undergraduate at Edinburgh University, before becoming a St Andrew’s Society scholar as part of completing a Masters in Development Economics at New York University.
