General Manager, EU/UK
Rich Waterworth is TikTok’s General Manager for the UK & EU. He is responsible for the growth and management of the platform and oversees content operations, partner community, marketing, branding, communications, policy and P&L.
Before joining TikTok, Rich was Marketing Director for EMEA at Google/Youtube. His role encompassed all marketing activity for YouTube, from brand marketing and product launches, to creator & industry relations and business marketing. Prior Google/YouTube he was at ITV as Director of Platform Marketing.
At TikTok, Rich combines his experience from ITV, where he saw the power of big, broad, shared entertainment experiences, and YouTube where he saw the power of enabling the long tail of users and niche communities. He’s currently focussed on creating highly personal experiences based on specific interests, as well as big, shared experiences that can bring interest groups, different generations and whole communities together.
Rich is a huge animation fan, and his favourite TikTok accounts @tootymcnooty and @curlykidlife reflect this passion. He studied Philosophy and Modern Languages at Oxford University and is originally from London.
