Syrie is a geologist who studied at both Exeter University at Imperial College London. In the 30 years since joining shell she has moved from being one of the first females working on a drilling rig in the middle of the North Sea through various team contributors role, including leading Shells integrated reservoir modelling teams. She started working with CO2 when looking at CO2 EOR opportunities in the Middle East, she then was the Front End Development Manager for Shells first CCS project, the Quest project in Canada. Since then she has worked at the VP level in Shell and is now responsible for Shells CCS strategy and global CCS project portfolio.
